Feasts, Ordinances, Commandments & Statutes of YAH
The Perpetual
Feasts, Ordinances, Commandments & Statutes of YAH
We have been led to assume that we are no longer accountable to honor the laws, feasts and festivals of God; that because of the blood of Yahusha/Yahushua (Jesus), His death and resurrection, all has been fulfilled and we are no longer, as some would put it, “under the law”[1] and therefore, are free to sin without accountability to remorse or repentance. For through the blood of Yeshua our sins are covered and we have been set free from the curse of the law.
Let me remind you that, first of all, yes Yahusha/Yahushua (Jesus) fulfilled His purpose as He became the Sacrificial, once and for all, Lamb that was slain and was received as our Ransom before the Father. And when He died, the word of God tells us[2] that the veil [that had kept us separated from (without access to) God] was rent from top to bottom.
But let me explain in more detail that Yahusha/Yahushua (Jesus)’ death and resurrection restored our access to God that was corrupted by Adam as he walked in disobedience to God’s word in the Garden of Eden. And so, because of the death and resurrection of Yahusha/Yahushua (Jesus) (the 2nd Adam) we again have access to the relationship that Adam had with God that included a healthy life, everything that he needed, position of authority over the earth and the animals, etc. All that we see given to him in Genesis Chapters 1 and 2, but were cursed against in Genesis Chapter 3.
And because of the blood of the Lamb Yeshua, we have an even better covenant that gives us access to God under the same conditions, that we walk in obedience to His word (Torah) and we have as Adam had, freedom of choice; lest we suffer the same consequence of sin, separation from the Father.
Yet this time, if we sin, we can now plead that blood that cleanses forever and step back into that position of son/daughter of the Most High God without another sacrifice.
[1Jo 2:1-5 NKJV] 1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Yahusha/Yahushua (Jesus) Christ the righteous. 2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. 3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.
Yet, be reminded that even after salvation if you turn back to iniquity [(lifestyle of sin), because as with Adam and Eve, God did not revoke your right to choose (sides)] you are in disobedience and Yahusha/Yahushua (Jesus) as He explained to His disciples, the word of God tells us that you are not a son/daughter of God; but a son/daughter of satan.[3]
[Rom 5:16-21 KJV] 16 And not as [it was] by one that sinned, [so is] the gift: for the judgment [was] by one to condemnation, but the free gift [is] of many offences unto justification. 17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Yahusha/Yahushua (Jesus) Christ.) 18 Therefore as by the offence of one [judgment came] upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one [the free gift came] upon all men unto justification of life. 19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. 20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: 21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Yahusha/Yahushua (Jesus) Christ our Lord.
Secondly, (because you may not know that you are an Israelite[4]) you might say that you are not Jewish so therefore "what do these Jewish customs have to do with me?"
First of all, Yahusha/Yahushua (Jesus) told the disciples that He had not come to put away the law…
[Mat 5:17-18 KJV] 17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
And
whether Jew or Gentile grafted in through the blood, the law has not been
destroyed by the death and resurrection of Yahusha/Yahushua (Jesus)/Yeshua. He is a fulfillment of the law; not a
destroyer of the law.
There are also still a few prophecies yet to be fulfilled before the return of our Lord and Savior Yeshua to claim dominion over the whole earth.
Now that that has been established, we can move forward.

Moeds (Moedims), Feasts & Festivals of the Lord – VAIYQRA (Leviticus) 23:1-44
The Moeds (Moedims), Feasts & Festivals of the Lord – VAIYQRA (Leviticus) 23:1-44
These festivals were commanded by the Lord to help us understand coming events.
God is giving us opportunity /time to prepare
"My people perish for lack of knowledge."
[Lev 23:1-2 KJV] 1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, [Concerning] the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim [to be] holy convocations, [even] these [are] my feasts (Moed).
Definitions
Convocation = symbolic of Dress Rehearsal
Part of Speech: Noun Masculine
Transliteration: moed
Phonetic Spelling: (mo-ade')
There
are laws that YAH proclaimed through Moses to the Israelites that they were to
do continually. This is confirmed in Exodus 29:42-46.
[Exo 29:42-46 KJV] 42 [This shall be] a
continual burnt offering throughout your generations [at] the door of the
tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD: where I will meet you, to speak
there unto thee. 43 And there I will meet with the children of Israel, and [the
tabernacle] shall be sanctified by my glory. 44 And I will sanctify the
tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar: I will sanctify also both Aaron
and his sons, to minister to me in the priest's office. 45 And I will dwell
among the children of Israel, and will be their God. 46 And they shall know
that I [am] the LORD their God, that brought them forth out of the land of
Egypt, that I may dwell among them: I [am] the LORD their God.
And though the blood (of goats and bulls) sacrifice has been prophetically replaced by the final sacrifice of the Lamb who was slain, and the fire sacrifice by the Holy Spirit (Acts 2), honoring these feasts and festivals is still to be done continually.
VAIYQRA (Leviticus) 23:1-44 assures us that these holy days/feasts/festivals/convocations are not appointed by man, but by YHVH Himself:
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, [Concerning] the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim [to be] holy convocations, [even] these [are] my feasts.
And again, God speaks on this subject of keeping His laws (ordinances in Malachi Chapter 3).
[Mal 3:6-7 KJV] 6 For I [am] the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. 7 Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept [them]. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?
Before we delve into the Feasts & Holy Convocations, let's first address the elephant in the room which is the first of all Feasts that YAH holds us accountable to keep,...
1. THE SABBATH
In accordance with the 10 Commandments that we find in Exodus Chapter 20, Lev. 23:3 reiterates the significance that these Commandments hold by drawing them together in Leviticus 23 as we observe the continual ordinances of YAH.
"Six days shall work be done: but the seventh
day [is] the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work
[therein]: it [is] the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings."
With the understanding that the Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath, the Word of YAH states in Genesis Chapter 2 that after ELOHIYM created in those 6 days, that He rested on the 7th.
[Gen 2:1-3 HNV] 1 The heavens and the eretz were finished, and all the host of them. 2 On the seventh day God finished his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3 God blessed the seventh day, and made it holy, because he rested in it from all his work which he had created and made.

2. PASSOVER - [The Passover Festival/Feast of Unleavened Bread]
Lev 23:4 These [are] the feasts of the LORD, [even] holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons. 5 In the fourteenth [day] of the first month at even [is] the LORD'S Passover. 6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month [is] the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread. 7 In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. 8 But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD seven days: in the seventh day [is] an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work [therein]. –– which signifies the redemption of Israel

Feast of Unleavened Bread/PESACH) Commemorates the sanctification of Israel and is referenced in the Exodus Chapter 12 as the First Feast of Unleavened Bread just prior to the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt.
[Exo
12:15-20, 39 KJV] 15 Seven
days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven
out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until
the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel. 16 And in the first
day [there shall be] an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be
an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save
[that] which every man must eat, that only may be done of you. 17 And ye shall
observe [the feast of] unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I
brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this
day in your generations by an ordinance for ever. 18 In the first [month], on
the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until
the one and twentieth day of the month at even. 19 Seven days shall there be no
leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even
that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a
stranger, or born in the land. 20 Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your
habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread. ... 39 And they baked unleavened
cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not
leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither
had they prepared for themselves any victual.

3. PENTECOST - Offering of The First Fruits
Lev 23:9 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: 11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it. 12 And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD. 13 And the meat offering thereof [shall be] two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the LORD [for] a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof [shall be] of wine, the fourth [part] of an hin. 14 And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: [it shall be] a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
[Exo 23:14-17 HNV] 14 "You shall observe a feast to me three times a year. 15 You shall observe the feast of matzah. Seven days you shall eat matzah, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Aviv (for in it you came out from Mitzrayim), and no one shall appear before me empty. 16 And the Hag-HaKatzir, the first fruits of your labors, which you sow in the field: and the Hag-HaKatzir, at the end of the year, when you gather in your labors out of the field. 17 Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Lord GOD.
[Exo 34:22-23 HNV] 22 You shall observe the feast of weeks with the first fruits of wheat harvest, and the Hag-HaKatzir at the year's end. 23 Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Lord GOD, the God of Yisra'el.
[Deu 16:16 HNV] 16 Three times in a year shall all your males appear before the LORD your God in the place which he shall choose: in the feast of matzah, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of booths; and they shall not appear before the LORD empty:...
The Festival of Weeks - FIRST FRUITS - YOM HABIKKURIM
Lev 23:15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: 16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD. 17 Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; [they are] the firstfruits unto the LORD. 18 And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be [for] a burnt offering unto the LORD, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, [even] an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto the LORD. 19 Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings. 20 And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits [for] a wave offering before the LORD, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the LORD for the priest. 21 And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, [that] it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work [therein: it shall be] a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations. 22 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I [am] the LORD your God.
The Pilgrimage Feast of Weeks starts exactly 7 weeks/50 days after the Feast of FirstFruits; exactly 50 days after Pentecost (Acts 2:1). It celebrates the FirstFruits of the wheat harvest. (Deut. 16:9-10)
The Feast of FirstFruits celebrating the FirstFruits of the barley harvest, is observed at the time of the Passover.
These are the 3 Feasts (Passover, Feast of Weeks and Feast of Tabernacles) which require all able-bodied Hebrew males make FirstFruit offerings. (Lev. 23:16)

VAIYQRA (Leviticus) 23:9-14 (Eth Cepher) - 9 And YAHUAH spoke unto Mosheh, saying, 10 Speak unto the children of Yisra’el, and say unto them, When ye are come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap את eth-the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring את eth-a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: 11 And he shall wave את eth-the sheaf before YAHUAH, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the Shabbath the priest shall wave it. 12 And ye shall offer that day when ye wave את eth-the sheaf a he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto YAHUAH. 13 And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto YAHUAH for a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of a hin. 14 And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched grain, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought את eth-an offering unto your ELOHIYM: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
Its origin as a Jubilee can be found in the Apocrypha Book of Yovheliym (Jubilees) 6:12-19 beginning with Noah and his descendants and again with Abraham, because it is deemed a perpetual feast:
“And this testimony is written concerning you that you should observe it continually, so that you should not eat on any day any blood of beasts or birds or cattle during all the days of the earth, and the man who eats the blood of beast or of cattle or of birds during all the days of the earth, he and his seed shall be rooted out of the land. 13 And do thou command the children of Israel (Yisra’el) to eat no blood, so that their names and their seed 14 may be before the Lord our God (Yahuah Elohaynu) continually. And for this law (Torah) there is no limit of days, for it is for ever. They shall observe it throughout their generations, so that they may continue supplicating on your behalf with blood before the altar; every day and at the time of morning and evening they shall seek forgiveness on your behalf perpetually before the Lord (Yahuah) that they may keep …”
SHAVUOT (PENTECOST) – Symbolic of the #50
15 it and not be rooted out. And He gave to Noah (Noach) and his sons a sign that there should not again 16 be a flood on the earth. He set His bow in the cloud for a sign of the eternal covenant that there
17 should not again be a flood on the earth to destroy it all the days of the earth. For this reason it is ordained and written on the heavenly tablets, that they should celebrate the feast of weeks (Shavu’oth) in this 18 month once a year, to renew the covenant every year. And this whole festival was celebrated in heaven from the day of creation till the days of Noah (Noach) -twenty-six jubilees and five weeks of years [1309-1659 A.M.]: and Noah (Noach) and his sons observed it for seven jubilees and one week of years, till the day of Noah's (Noach’s) death, and from the day of Noah's (Noach’s) death his sons did away with (it) until the days of Abraham (Avraham), and 19 they eat blood. But Abraham (Avraham) observed it, and Isaac (Yitschaq)and Jacob (Ya’aqov) and his children observed it up to thy days, and in thy days the children of Israel (Yisra’el) forgot it until ye celebrated it anew on this mountain. 20 And do you command the children of Yisra’el to observe this feast in all their generations for a commandment unto them: one day in the year in this month they shall celebrate the feast. 21 For it is the Feast of Shavu’oth and the Feast of Firstfruits of the wheat harvest: this feast is twofold and of a double nature: according to what is written and engraven concerning it, celebrate it.”
And as this is the time of giving unto the Lord during this feast, we are commanded in Leviticus 23, to make sure we consider the poor and less fortunate when we are gathering what is ours in this harvest time. We are not to use the excess (glean) of the harvest. We are to leave that for the poor and to the stranger.
Leviticus 23:22 And when ye reap את eth-the harvest of your land, you shall not make clean riddance of the corners of your field when you reap, neither shall you gather any gleaning of your harvest: you shall leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am YAHUAH ELOHAYKEM.
Feast of Weeks is included in the 50 days prior to the day of Pentecost and the indwelling of Holy Spirit in the form of the tongues of fire.
Pentecost was observed by the Hebrews beginning as commanded by God in Leviticus 23:9-21. As a matter of fact, the Apostles and disciples were in the process of fulfilling their yearly observance of Shavuot in Acts Chapter 2, day of Pentecost.
“The Festival of Weeks includes 7 Sabbaths 50 days (beginning after First Fruits and) ending prior to Pentecost (also known as Shavuot), observed to honor God for the abundant provisions of agricultural harvest. According to the book of Leviticus 23-15-16, they observed the festival of Pentecost 1,500 years before Jesus died; although it was fulfilled in Acts Chapter 2 (John 10:10) reflecting the day that the spirit of God came to and fell upon Mt. Sinai (Exodus 19-20). God spoke, fire came and the Israelites trembled. New Testament reflected more abundance (John 10:10) as Holy Spirit fell upon the people and spoke through each of them in their own language.”[1]
Malachi
3:10 tells us that we must “return to”… Him (God) in tithes &
offerings.
Pentecost is one of three times during the year that we are required to never come to God empty handed[2]. According to,
[Deu 16:16-17 KJV] 16 Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty: 17 Every man [shall give] as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee.
These three times of the year, when the windows of heaven are open (are Passover, Pentecost & Sukkot), we are required to bring 1st fruit offerings (represented in Shavuot also as 2 loaves, barley which is representative of Egypt/bondage), etc., transitioning from a slave mentality to a freedom mentality (symbolic of the 2 loaves) reconnecting us to Him.
Again I remind you that this is the time of giving unto the Lord specifically during this Feast, we are commanded in Leviticus 23:22, to make sure we consider the poor and less fortunate when we are gathering what is ours in this harvest time. We are not to use the excess (glean) of the harvest. We are to leave that for the poor and to the stranger.
22 And when ye reap את eth-the harvest of
your land, you shall not make clean riddance of the corners of your field when
you reap, neither shall you gather any gleaning of your harvest: you shall
leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am YAHUAH ELOHAYKEM.

The Month of the Blowing of the Shofar
The Month of the Bride
“I am my Beloved’s and my Beloved is mine” Song of Songs 6:3
Exodus 32; 34:27-28)
The Month of “Elul” means “search” (as in,
“search our hearts”) and is traditionally the last month on the Hebrew calendar
and the month prior[1]
to the beginning of the Fall Feasts, a time of introspection and stocktaking—a
time of reflection, to review one’s deeds and spiritual progress over the past
year, and prepare for the upcoming Fall Festivals which include the “Days of Awe” of Rosh
Hashanah and Yom
Kippur.
A Place of Refuge
We know the story, after their exit, on that 40 day journey, as they rested around Mt. Sinai, Moses went up to Mt. Sinai. And as He communed with, Father, YAHUAH, as their visit was ending, YAHUAH told[2] Moses, before he returned down that mountain, to warn the people of the significance of the Sabbath.
[Exo 31:18 KJV] 18 And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.
But the very next Chapter of Exodus (32) draws us into what was going on in the camp while Moses was up on that mountain receiving these instructions and communing with the Creator.
And again Moses, pleaded to YAHUAH on behalf of the people when YAHUAH told him all that had been going on while they had been together.
[Exo 32:7-15 KJV] 7 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted [themselves]: 8 They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These [be] thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. 9 And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it [is] a stiffnecked people: 10 Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation. 11 And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand? 12 Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people. 13 Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit [it] for ever. 14 And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people. 15 And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the testimony [were] in his hand: the tables [were] written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other [were] they written.”
He descended that mountain hearing the music and seeing the Hebrews celebrating, dancing and worshiping a golden calf (made of golden earrings placed in the hands of Aaron). This sight greatly angered Moses to the point that he threw the tablets[3] (that YAHUAH had inscribed in His own hand) down to the ground. And needless to say, they were broken.
Then, the Word of God tells us that Moses took the calf and burned it in the fire, ground it into powder, scattered it in the water and made the Israelites drink the water![4]
This is why Moses challenged those who had participated in this ceremony to put on their swords and choose sides. All the sons of Levi gathered together on his side and the slaying of those who did not choose God’s side began and was completed.
Keep in mind, these Moeds that we called to observe and keep are a “dress rehearsal” to what is to come.
[1] 2019/5779 – The month of Elul will be September 1-29, 2019. It precedes the Hebrew New Year (Rosh Hashanah 5780) and is a time of preparation.
[2] Exodus 31:12-17
[3] Exodus 32:19
[4] Exodus 32:20
This year, the Month of September will draw us to “Elul”, traditionally a time of introspection and stocktaking—a time to review one’s deeds and spiritual progress over the past year, and prepare for the upcoming Fall Festivals which include the “10 Days of Awe” of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
During this month of Elul, as the shofar is being blown (according to Joel 2:1) God is saying, “return to me”.
This is the time in this month (before the Fall Festivals), set aside for Introspection.
During this time we address this subject by Renewing Our Minds through devotion and prayer, washing ourselves and lining ourselves up with the Water of the Word of GYAH. Looking into that mirror, dying to self and pressing toward the mark of holiness and righteousness before entering into that place of holiness.
The month of Elul is also referred to as the month of the Bride. This is the time for the Bride (of Yahushua) to shore up in faithfulness, ensuring as the Witnesses we are, that the oil for our lamps do not run out as we await the Bridegroom’s return, as in the example of the 10 virgins in Matthew Chapter 25 (1-11) ; to be strengthened while you patiently endure and await the return of Yeshua for us, His Bride while anticipating that it could be during these upcoming Fall Festivals.
It is our focus during this month as we address our teachings and studies to ensuring your lamps have the oil to continue to await the bridegrooms’ return. So the Ministries’ sole focus during this month of Elul is Introspection.
It’s a time of rehearsing, as the bride prepares herself for the wedding; again, looking into the mirror ensuring everything is just perfect (without spot or wrinkle); doing our best to line ourselves up with the Water of the Word regarding ourselves.
In other instances, it’s like when you were in school and there was no fire, but you had fire drill. This is a drill anticipating the return, the 2nd coming of the Lord, Yahusha/Yahushua (Jesus) Christ in these last days.
This is also the time that God is looking at our hearts, at our giving, at our love for one another. So we are preparing ourselves, lining up with His word regarding our offerings, charitable giving and also our love for our brothers and sisters in Christ. It is important that we examine ourselves during the month of Elul acknowledging our deficiencies and work on building character and improving our self-esteem. We can’t help someone else until we first address our own indiscretions.
For more information regarding Elul, please refer to the book, by Apostle Ramona Haswell, Coming Soon, "Teshuvah: Return to Me".

Lev. 23:23 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first [day] of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. 25 Ye shall do no servile work [therein]: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
Rosh means, the Head of the Year, in Hebrew.
Rosh Hashanah honors The Jewish New Year (the head of the year on the rabbinic calendar) and is celebrated with the sounding of the trumpet (The Festival of Trumpets); a clarion call to repentance, consecration, etc. It is on this day, kings of Israel were crowned and King David also rejoiced in this day.
Also
referred to as, Yom Teruah or The Feasts of Trumpets & Shouting
(Numbers 29:1); the resurrection of the dead in Christ who will arise when that
last trumpet is sounded. In the Old Testament, it reflects the virgin birth through Mary the virgin and now in the New Testament Book of Rev. 12:1 it reflects Jerusalem giving birth to the Body of Yahusha. The Feasts of Trumpets is connected with resurrection and the Rapture of the Body of Yahusha during the visualization of the New Moon for the Autumn (Fall) Season.
- Rest (no regular work)
- Gather together for a Sacred Assembly –
- (Traditionally), Give a food Offering or animal sacrifice – The blood of Yahusha/Yahushua (Jesus) is our continual (animal sacrifice substitute) representing the Blood Offering. [Traditional foods for Rosh Hashanah would be eating apples & honey (while saying L’shanah tovah!); fish heads (represents fertility – fertile, fruitful year); braided bread usually eaten at every Shabbat with raisin; pomegranate (reflecting the new season, the new year)]
- Blow the Trumpet standing in solidarity with the Israelites; the Chosen of YAH. Rosh HaShanah is ALSO called Yom Teruah, the day of sounding the shofar. (Leviticus 23:24)
It is a day for you to sound the trumpets [Yom Teruah]." (Numbers 29:1)
So,
as usual I make it a point to share the link to one of my favorite YouTube shofar calls on the sidebar of this page for your convenience. Please feel free to use the video of your preference.
THE TIME TO GIVE
The Word of YAH tells us that every year at the time of Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur, God opens the book to see our goodness (to make the world a better place, to bring our first fruits, to help the homeless to reap a harvest in our lives.)] Not for eternity, but for 1 whole year (Colossians 2:16-17)
[Col 2:16-17 HNV] 16 Let no man therefore judge you in eating, or in drinking, or with respect to a feast day or a new moon or Shabbat, 17 which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Messiah's.
This is the time to serve in your giving in these 10 days while the Shofar is being blown 100 times a day til Yom Kippur.
God is saying I want you to participate, giving you an opportunity to be a blessing.

"And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, [remember that] you do not support the root, but the root [supports] you. You will say then, "Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in." Romans 11:17-19 NKJV
Gentiles "have been grafted into a covenant that was initially created by God for His chosen peoples, the Israelites (Hebrews/Jews) through Abraham, passed down to Moses and then to Joshua. Therefore, our understanding of FASTing and PRAYer should emanate from the guidelines they followed over generations, while FASTing.
FASTing is a culture
or tradition implemented by God as an opportunity for His people,
Israel, to repent, separate themselves, and draw in closer to Him. And
because of this ‘grafting’ Gentiles also are required as the
Jews/Israelites to heed to His will, His laws and traditions that stem
back to the Old Testament." Die to self by submitting your will to the Father YAH and pushing back your plate.

Rosh Hashanah is followed by 10 days of Awe, as we prepare for the Day of Atonement.
5. 10 DAYS OF AWE - Shabbat Shuvuh/Shabbat T'shuvah - Shabbat Shuvah or Shabbat T'shuvah
("Sabbath [of] Return" שבת שובה or "Sabbath [of] Repentance" שבת תשובה) refers to the Shabbat that occurs during the Ten Days of Repentance, but is between (i.e. not including): the two consecutive Days of Rosh Hashanah; and the Day of Yom Kippur.
The Shabbat between Rosh
Hashanah and Yom Kippur is called Shabbat
Shuvah, Shabbat of Return because its special haftarah reading
begins with the words Shuvah Yisrael "Return
O Israel", from the prophecy of Hoshea. It is also referred to
as Shabbat Shuvah because it falls during the Ten
Days of Repentance.
...The Shabbat was given to Israel as a time for Torah study and prayer, and, although one should always take care not to pass the time idly or in inappropriate conversation, on Shabbat Shuvah one should be especially careful to concentrate entirely on Torah, prayer, and reflection on repentance, thereby attaining forgiveness for whatever unfitting behavior may have marred other Sabbaths.
Scripture Focus: Hosea 14:2-10; Joel 2:15-27 or the Book of Micah 7:18-20
“The selection from Hosea focuses on a universal call for repentance, and an assurance that those who return to God will benefit from Divine healing and restoration.”
“Hosea focuses on Divine forgiveness, and how great it is in comparison to the forgiveness of man.”
[Hos 14:1-9 KJV] “1 O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity. 2 Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive [us] graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips. 3 Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, [Ye are] our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy. 4 I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him. 5 I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon. 6 His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon. 7 They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive [as] the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof [shall be] as the wine of Lebanon. 8 Ephraim [shall say], What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard [him], and observed him: I [am] like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found. 9 Who [is] wise, and he shall understand these [things]? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD [are] right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.”
The selection from Joel celebrates a blow of the shofar uniting the people for fasting and supplication.
[Joel 2:15-27 KJV] 15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: 16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet. 17 Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where [is] their God? 18 Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people. 19 Yea, the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen: 20 But I will remove far off from you the northern [army], and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things. 21 Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things. 22 Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength. 23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first [month]. 24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil. 25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. 26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed. 27 And ye shall know that I [am] in the midst of Israel, and [that] I [am] the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.
6. THE MOST HOLY FEAST - Yom Kippur - The Day of Atonement
Lev. 23:26
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 27 Also on the tenth [day] of this
seventh month [there shall be] a day of atonement: it shall be an holy
convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made
by fire unto the LORD. 28 And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it [is]
a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God. 29
For whatsoever soul [it be] that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he
shall be cut off from among his people. 30 And whatsoever soul [it be] that
doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his
people. 31 Ye shall do no manner of work: [it shall be] a statute for ever
throughout your generations in all your dwellings. 32 It [shall be] unto you a
sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth [day] of the
month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.
The Holiest Day to God when no one shall appear before
God empty handed.
This Feast of
Atonement is predicated with Fasting & giving of tithes &
offerings (including 1st fruits) on that day; and honors the
covenant made through the blood of Yahusha/Yahushua (Jesus). Yahusha/Yahushua
(Jesus) made Atonement for our sins.
This is our opportunity to honor God for the Blood of Yahusha/Yahushua (Jesus). Apply the blood (plead the blood).
[Lev 17:11 KJV] 11 For the life of the flesh [is] in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it [is] the blood [that] maketh an atonement for the soul.

7. SUKKOTH - The Festival of Tabernacles
Lev. 23:33 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 34 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month [shall be] the feast of tabernacles [for] seven days unto the LORD. 35 On the first day [shall be] an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work [therein]. 36 Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it [is] a solemn assembly; [and] ye shall do no servile work [therein].
37 These [are] the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim [to be] holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day: 38 Beside the sabbaths of the LORD, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the LORD.
39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day [shall be] a sabbath, and on the eighth day [shall be] a sabbath. 40 And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days. 41 And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. [It shall be] a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month. 42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths: 43 That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I [am] the LORD your God. 44 And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the LORD.

As we prepare ourselves giving ourselves that "once over" covering our devotional & prayer life in our last week’s bible session, focusing on charitable giving and our offerings (according to Malachi 3:10) because we know that there are 3 times of the year we are to observe God’s Feasts which are Holy Convocations, where the Word of God tells us that we not to come before the Lord empty-handed according to Deuteronomy 16:16 and one of those times is coming up in October.
Again, the 3 times we are not to approach God empty-handed (when we are to bring Him an offering) are written in the scriptures:
[Deuteronomy 16:16-17 KJV] “Three times in a year
(Passover, (Shavaut) Pentecost, Feast of Tabernacles) shall all thy males
appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast
of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of
tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty: Every man [shall
give] as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath
given thee.”
